Acto-Pred is known as a corticosteroid. Acto-Pred has anti-inflammatory, metabolic, immune, and hormonal effects on the body. Acto-Pred works to treat the conditions by affecting the body`s release of the substances that trigger inflammation. This release of the substances normally occurs due to an immune system response, however, Acto-Pred works by stopping it, which leads to the treatment of of the conditions listed.
