Aurorix

I have been taking this medication for 30 years. One of the best antidepressants available. Mixes well with most other antidepressants except ,recommend not to combine with ssri's and anafranil, clomipramine, since there have been reports of serotonin syndrome. Let 4-5 weeks pass if on fluoxitine, prozac and 2 weeks for paroxetine, lexipro, celexa and luvox before starting aurorix. sertraline at under 100 mg per day is FINE, though as well as reboxetine. venlafaxine, under 150 mg a day, duloxetine, under 30 mg per day. milnicipran under 50 mg per day, all tricyclics except anafranil, mirtazapine, mianserin, lithium and all antipsychotics. start at 150 mg day in divided doses for 4- 7 days then increasing to 300 a day in divided doses, 150 mg am 150 late afternoon. Can be increased to 600 mg per day, caution when combining antidepressants with a dose above 300 per day, since it my cause increased blood pressure. Don't let these precautions stop you from using Aurorix, because when combined using these precautions it is very safe and effective and makes other antidepressants work better :)

MAO Type A

Aurorix is a great medication. It inhibits MAO type a which provides an increase of epinephrine, serotonin and some dopamine. It does not require a special diet like older non selective MAO inhibitors, like Parnate. It is washed out of the system in about 24 hours. It tends to have mild stimulation and helps depression very well. It tends to mix well with most medications, SSRI antidepressants can cause serotonin syndrome with the exception of zoloft at a low dose. Tricyclic antidepressants are safe to combined with the exception of Anafranil with is very highly serotonic. It also mixes well with Resagiline a type B MAOI to provide more dopamine and a even stronger antidepressant effect, this combination also is great for parkansons disease.
