Cefixime is used in the treatment of a vide variety of bacterial infections

Cefixime is an antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. Cefixime works by attacking their cell wall in the bacteria causing the infection. Cefixime prevents the synthesis of the substance in the cell wall called peptidoglycan, which provides the cell wall with the strength required for survival of bacteria in human body. Therefore Cefixime works weakening and then destorying the bacterial cells making it easier for the immune system to control or destroy the infection.

Patients who take Cefixime may suffer from such side effects;

Vaginal irritation or discharge

Clavulanic Acid is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and the symptoms it may cause.

Clavulanic acid works by blocking the action of the enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate the antibiotics, thus allowing the antibiotics to work and helping in the treatment of the infection.
