Purposeful Facts on Generic Temovate Clobetasol

Title: Purposeful Facts on Generic Temovate Clobetasol

Generic Temovate ClobetasolCream and Ointment are super-high potency corticosteroid formulations used for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

Clinical Pharmacology

Like other topical corticosteroids, Generic Temovate Clobetasolpropionate has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive possessions. The method of the anti-inflammatory action of the topical steroids, in general, is unclear. But, corticosteroids act by the stimulation of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively called lipocortins. It is suggested that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by reducing the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is released from membrane phospholipids by phospholipase A2.

The face, more than other areas of the body, may show signs of atrophic changes after extended treatment with potent topical corticosteroids. Avoid contact of Generic Temovate Clobetasol to the eyelids, since it may cause glaucoma or cataract. Topical corticosteroids may be harmful in psoriasis for many reasons including rebound relapses, development of tolerance, risk of generalised pustular psoriasis and development of local or systemic toxicity caused by impaired barrier function of the skin. If used in psoriasis patient care should be taken. If you are pregnant do not use without first discussing with your doctor.
