Ribasure, Ribavirin

Ribasure is used together an interferon medication such as peginterferon alfa-2a [Pegasys] or peginterferon alpha-2b [PEG-Intron]) in the treatment of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) .

Ribasure is an antiviral medication in the class of nucleoside analogues. Ribasure works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body.

Patients who take Ribasure may suffer from such side effects;

Vertigo,
Fatigue or weakness,
Reduction in appetite,
Soreness in the muscles,
Pain occurring in the stomach
