Teravir, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate

Teravir is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis b virus (hbv) infection and hiv infections.

Teravir is an antiretroviral medicine known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Teravir slows the progress of HIV infection, but it is not a cure. Teravir is used with other medicines in a combination therapy. Teravir works by by stopping the virus HIV from copying (replicating) itself. Teravir works by stopping the hepatitis B virus from multiplying further, this reduces the amount of the virus in your body.
