Metformin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

How it Works

Metformin helps in allowing the body to make full use of the reduced amount of Insulin that occurs in type 2 diabetes patients. Insulin occurs naturally in the body's pancreas which helps to control the level of glucose(Sugars) in your blood, insufficient or inaffective insulin results in the condition called diabetes mellitus. Metformin helps in treatment of the type 2 diabetes.

How it Works

Glimepiride works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. Insulin helps to control the levels of Glucose (Sugar) in your blood. Insufficient or ineffective insulin causes type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride works when diet and exercise alone fail to control abnormally high levels of blood sugar.

Voglibose is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

How it Works

Voglibose gets activated in the small intestine. Voglibose works to inhibit enzymes which are responsible for the breakdown of complex sugar into simple sugars such as glucose. this then slows the digestion of sugar in the intestines and primarily lowers the post-meal rise in blood sugar levels.
