Citicoline is used in the treatment of alzheimer's disease, age related memory loss, stroke, dementia in parkinson's disease and head trauma. Citicoline is also used as a supplement.

How it Works

Citicoline is a brain chemical that occurs naturally in the body. Citicoline as a medicine it is taken by mouth as a supplement or given by IV or as a shot. Citicoline helps to increase a brain chemical called phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine is important for proper brain function. Citicoline also helps to decrease brain tissue damage when the brain is injured.
