Uses

Hiberix Injection is used for the prevention of Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) infection which is a type of flu caused by bacteria. It is also used for the prevention of meningitis and breathing problems caused by Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) infections.

How it Works

Hiberix works as a vaccine. It works by developing immunity in the body against the bacterial infection. Hiberix does this by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection initiated by Hiberix does not cause serious illness, however it does stimulate the body's immune system to produce antibodies to protect against any future infections of the same type.
