Acuvert is used for the treatment and prevention of nausea, vomiting, vertigo, dizziness, agitation, meniere's disease and schizophrenia.

How it Works

Acuvert is known as a phenothiazine. Acuvert works by blocking the action of a chemical called dopamine which acts on the nervous system in the brain. Acuvert works by blocking dopamine receptor in the brain which triggers nausea and vomiting. Acuvert works in schizophrenia by using high doses, it works by blocking dopamine in certain brain regions that affect thoughts and mood.
