Salicylic Acid is used in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis and keratoses (abnormal skin growth).
How it Works
Salicylic acid is known as a keratolytic which is a peeling agent. Salicylic acid allows shedding of the outer layer of skin by loosening and softening the dry, scaly skin. Salicylic Acid also works on reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink

Benzoic Acid
Uses
Benzoic Acid is used in the treatment of skin infections and fungal infections, nzoic Acid is also used for the treatment of inflammation caused by burns, insect bites, fungal infections, or eczema.
How it Works
nzoic Acid stops the growth and spread of the fungus by preventing the fungal cells to make their cell membrane which then causes cell death and prevents such fungal infections from occurring.

Menthol
Uses
Menthol is used in the treatment of itching, dermatitis and eczema.
How it Works
Menthol works by activating the cold-sensitive TRPM8 receptors in the skin. Menthol, causes a feeling of coolness due to stimulation of cold receptors by inhibiting Ca++ currents of neuronal membranes. Menthol may also yield analgesic properties via kappa-opioid receptor agonism.
