How it Works
Azathioprine is known as an immunosuppressant, Azathioprine works to suppress the immune, or defence, system. Azathioprine is used to help prevent rejection following organ transplant operations and Azathioprine is also used to treat a variety of long-term (chronic) inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and Crohn's disease.
