Simcard, Simvastatin

Simcard is used for the treatment of increased cholesterol levels in blood, triglycerides levels in blood and increased LDL levels in blood.

Simcard is known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. Simcard works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. In most patients, simvastatin reduces the bad cholesterol and can actually raise the good cholesterol. Simcard regulates the amount of cholesterol and other lipids made by the body. Simcard does this by blocking the action of a certain enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which your body needs to make the fats. This then lowers the risk of heart and blood vessel disease.
