Akela Gel is used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. 

Erythromycin topical is known as a macrolide antibiotic. Erythromycin topical works by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins needed by the bacterial cells to carry out its vital functions. Therefore this kills the bacterial cells and stops the infection.
