Rifagut is used to prevent Hepatic encephalopathy, irritable bowel syndrome and Diarrhoea.

Rifagut is an antibiotic that works to fight bacterial infections. Rifagut treats only the intestinal tract, it will not treat infections of other parts of the body. This is because Rifagut passes through the stomach and into the intestines without being absorbed into the blood stream.
