Mebeverine is used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Mebeverine is nown as an oral antispasmodic medication. Mebeverine works by smoothing the intestinal muscles in the wall of intestines to stop spasms that cause the pain and diarrhea associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
