Ponaxen, Ponatinib

Ponaxen is a targeted chemotherapy drug which is used for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Ponaxen is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, Ponaxen works to block tyrosine kinases on the surface and within cancer cells, these targets are involved in angiogenesis and by blocking these targets the cancer will shrink.

Some of the side effects associated with taking Ponatinb are as below, these side effects can be common or less common as well

High blood pressure
Neutropenia
Leukopenia
Blood sugar increased
Low platelets
Diarrhea
Blood sugar decreased
Increased bleeding
Vomiting
Mouth sores
Phosphorous decreased
Anemia
Rash
Muscle aches
Swelling
Infection
Shortness of breath
Bilirubin increased
Pleural effusion
Cough
Abdominal pain
Constipation
Fatigue or weakness
Headache
Dry skin
Fever
Nausea
Appetite decreased
Joint pain

Seek emergency care if you are experiencing, chest pains, weakness on one side of the body, shortness of breath, leg pains or leg swellings. If you are experiencing a fever of 38 degrees or higher please seek medical attention immediately. 

You must inform you doctor if you are taking any other medications or products containing aspirin. You must avoid taking any kind of immunization or vaccination without the doctors approval

Ponaxen should be kept in a cold and dry place

This product is certified and registered with Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) , Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of the People's republic of Bangladesh.
