Virem is used in the treatment of HIV infections.

Virem is an antiretroviral medicine known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), it works by slows down the progress of HIV infection by reducing the amount of virus in your body. Virem does this by stopping the virus from replicating itself.Virem blocks the action of the Reverse Transcriptase enzyme which helps the virus replicate, this results in destroying the viral HIV chain.
