Rifaxidin is used to prevent Hepatic encephalopathy, irritable bowel syndrome and Diarrhoea.
How it Works
Rifaxidin is an antibiotic that works to fight bacterial infections. Rifaxidin treats only the intestinal tract, it will not treat infections of other parts of the body. This is because Rifaxidin passes through the stomach and into the intestines without being absorbed into the blood stream.
