Apixaban (Sava) is used in the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Apixaban (Sava) is also used for Reduction of stroke and clot risk in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation patients.
How it Works
Apixaban (Sava) is an anticoagulant. Apixaban (Sava) works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Apixaban (Sava) inhibits the platelet aggregation induced by thrombin, thus reduces and prevents the formation of harmful blood clots.
