Crotamiton topical is used to treat scabies and to reduce itching caused by certain skin conditions.

Crotamiton is known as a scabicidal drug. It has anti-pruritic actions. It works by killing the mite that causes scabies. It also acts as a counter-irritant, therefore producing a cooling effect as it evaporates from the skin, and provides relief from itching.
