Propranolol is used to treat tremors, angina, hypertension, heart rhythm disorders, and other heart or circulatory conditions.

Propranolol is known as a beta-blocker. Propranolol works by slowing down the activity of the heart by stopping messages sent by some nerves to the heart. Propranolol does this by blocking tiny areas which are called the beta-adrenergic receptors, where the messages are received. As a result, the heart then beats more slowly and with less force.

Flunarizine is used to prevent migraine and severe headaches caused by migraine.

Migraine headaches are caused by the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Flunarizine works by preventing loss of tone and dilation of blood vessels, thus preventing the migraine headache.
