Ondanbic Syrup is known as a 5-HT3 blocker.Ondanbic Syrup works by inhibiting the actions of serotonin in the body, serotonin is responsible for triggering vomiting and nausea. Ondanbic Syrup is usually prescribed for use in patients undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, to prevent vomiting. Ondanbic Syrup is also used to prevent post surgery vomiting.
