Leflunomide is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, reduces swelling and inflammation in the body.

Leflunomide is known as a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD). Leflunomide eases pain and stiffness associated with both of the conditions rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis, and Leflunomide also reduces the damaging effect of the disease on Joints. Leflunomide works by blocking the way inflammation develops in joints. Leflunomide suppresses the underlying disease process, rather than simply treating the disease.
