Alipza, Pitavastatin

Alipza is used in the treatment of increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased cholesterol levels in blood.

Alipza is known as a statin or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. Alipza regulates the amount of cholesterol and other lipids made by the body. Alipza works by blocking the action of a the enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which the body needs to make cholesterol. This lowers the level of cholesterol and directly lowers the risk of increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased cholesterol levels in blood.

Musculoskeletal pain,
Allergic reaction,
Headache,
Nausea,
Dyspepsia,
Increased creatine phosphokinase (CPK) level in blood,
Diarrhoea,
Flatulence,
Joint swelling,
Nasopharyngitis,
