Uses
Bortezomib is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma and mantle-cell lymphoma.
How it Works
Bortezomib is knwon as an anti-cancer medication. Bortezomib works by blocking or slowing the breakdown of proteins in cells. Thus the number of proteins increase in the cancer cells leading to their death. Bortezomib works by blocking the action of proteasome thus reducing growth of cancer cells as well.
Common Side effects
Some of the potential side effects of Bortezomib can include the symptoms below; Fever, Anemia, Diarrhoea, Reduced blood platelets, Fatigue, Peripheral neuropathy, Psychiatric disturbances, Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of appetite, Decreased white blood cell count, Constipation
