Salicylic Acid is used in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis and keratoses (abnormal skin growth).

Salicylic acid is known as a keratolytic which is a peeling agent. Salicylic acid allows shedding of the outer layer of skin by loosening and softening the dry, scaly skin. Salicylic Acid also works on reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink

Dithranol is used in the treatment of psoriasis, Keratoses or Abnormal skin growth and dermatitis.

Dithranol is known as an antimitotic drug. Dithranol works by inhibiting the process of cell proliferation in the skin and thereby reduces the scaling and thickening of the skin. Dithranol thus helps to clear patches of psoriasis by restoring normal skin development.

Coal tar is used for the treatment of psoriasis, including dryness, redness, flaking, scaling, and itching

Coal tar helps provide relieve from the symptoms of skin conditions, it is not a cure.
