Empacon is used to treat Type-2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
How it Works
Empacon is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, and it works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the pancreas which then reduces the level of sugar in the blood. Empacon also works by decreasing the amount of sugar the body absorbs and increasing the amount of sugar that leaves the body in the urine.Empacon increases the loss of sugar through the kidneys
