GTN Sorbitrate is used in the treatment of reducing high blood pressure during surgery, controlling congestive heart failure associated with heart attack, lowering blood pressure during surgery, treating angina and coronary artery disease.

How it Works

GTN Sorbitrate is known as a nitrate. GTN Sorbitrate works by relaxing and widening blood vessels. When the heart needs more oxygen than it can get, chest pains start occuring. GTN Sorbitrate works by relaxing blood vessels, which then allows blood to flow more easily. GTN Sorbitrate reduces the heart's workload and the amount of oxygen needed by the heart.
