Halovate S Ointment, Halobetasol/ Salicylic Acid

Halobetasol is used for the treatment of inflammation and itching caused by allergic reactions, eczema or psoriasis.

Halobetasol is known as a steroid. Halobetasol works by reducing the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Halobetasol works by Blocking the production of inflammatory mediators thus reducing the effects of allergic reactions.

Some of the potential side effects of Halobetasol can include the symptoms below;

Blisters under the skin,
Numbness, prickling, tingling feeling to the skin,
Dry skin
Flushing,
Hives or welts,
Itching,
Rash,
Stinging,
Thinning of the skin with easy bruising

Salicylic Acid is used in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis and keratoses (abnormal skin growth).

Salicylic acid is known as a keratolytic which is a peeling agent. Salicylic acid allows shedding of the outer layer of skin by loosening and softening the dry, scaly skin. Salicylic Acid also works on reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink
