Piperacillin/ Tazobactum Injection

Piperacillin is used in the treatment of Serious bacterial infections.

Piperacillin is known as an antibiotic. Piperacillin kills the bacterial cells by attacking thei cell wall. Specifically, Piperacillin prevents the synthesis of a substance in the cell wall called peptidoglycan, which provides the cell wall with the strength required for survival of bacteria in human body. Thus killing the bacterial cell and stopping the infection

Patients who take Piperacillin　may suffer from such side effects;

Nausea,
Allergic reaction,
Vomiting,
Diarrhoea

Tazobactum is used in the treatment of bacterial infections, such as Bacterial infections of urinary tract, Bacterial infections of bones and joint infections, Bacterial infections of vagina, Bacterial infections of stomach, Bacterial infections of skin, Bacterial infections of pneumonia and others.

Tazobactum works by blocking the action of the enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate the antibiotics. Preventing destruction of antibiotics from chemicals released from bacteria allows the antibiotics to destroy the bacterial cells and stopping the infection from spreading.
