Uses
R2 is used in the treatment of increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased cholesterol levels in blood.
How it Works
R2 is known as a statin or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. R2 regulates the amount of cholesterol and other lipids made by the body. R2 works by blocking the action of a the enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which the body needs to make cholesterol. This lowers the level of cholesterol and directly lowers the risk of heart and blood vessel disease.

Musculoskeletal pain,
Dyspepsia,
Nasopharyngitis,
Increased liver enzymes,
Increased creatine phosphokinase (CPK) level in blood,
Diarrhoea,
