Choltran is used in the treatment of increased cholesterol levels in blood.
How it Works
Choltran is known as a bile acid binding agent. Choltran works by removing the bile acid from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol available in the body. Because the body uses the excessive cholesterol to make bile acids, the levels of cholesterol in the body is lowered.
