Smartilon, Ethinyl Estradiol/ Desogestrel

Smartilon is used for contraception, it is also used in the treatment of post menopausal osteoporosis, prostate cancer, hormone replacement therapy (hrt) and failure of ovarian development.

Ethinyl estradiol is known as an estrogen. Smartilon is a synthetic form of the naturally occurring hormone in the body and it helps in development and maintenance of menstrual cycle. In post-menopausal women, Smartilon works by reducing the post-menopausal symptoms and risk of weakening bones and bone fracture.
