Udapa is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes which helps to control the amount of sugar in the blood.
How it Works
Udapa is known as a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Udapa reduces the levels of sugar the body absorbs and increases the levels of sugar that leaves the body in the urine, however Udapa should be used together with regular exercise and the control of diet.
Common Side effects
Patients who take Udapa may suffer from such side effects;
Frequent urge to urinate,
Urinary tract infection,
Symptoms of hypoglycaemia: feeling shaky or anxious,
Feeling that your heart is pounding (palpitations),
Hypoglycaemia (Low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea,
Genital fungal infection
