Moclobemide is used for the treatment of depression, or social anxiety disorder.

Moclobemide works by interfering with brain chemicals, called neurotransmitters. Moclobemide works by educing the action of the enzyme monoamine oxidase A. the action of Moclobemide then increases the levels of the neurotransmitters, serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline. Altering the balance of these brain chemicals helps with the symptoms of depression and social anxiety disorder.
