Phenindione is used in the treatment and prevention of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis .
How it Works
Phenindione is known as an anticoagulant. Phenindione works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Phenindione does not dissolve the existing blood clots, however it works to inhibit them from growing larger and causing serious problems.
