Propantheline is used in the treatment of stomach cramps or stomach spasms, hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating and also enuresis which is known as involutary urination.

Propantheline works by blocking acetylcholine in the body. Acetylcholine works by binding with muscurinic receptors in smooth muscle causing involuntary contraction of the muscle. as for in the stomach, gut or intestine when stomach cramps occurs, or in the bladder causing urination. Propantheline works by blocking the binding of acetylcholine, it helps to keep these muscles relaxed.
