Ondamac is known as a 5-HT3 blocker.Ondamac works by inhibiting the actions of serotonin in the body, serotonin is responsible for triggering vomiting and nausea. Ondamac is usually prescribed for use in patients undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, to prevent vomiting. Ondamac is also used to prevent post surgery vomiting.
