Piracetam

Piracetam is used for the treatment of alzheimer's disease, stroke, dementia in parkinson's disease, age related memory loss and head trauma.

Piracetam acts on the brain and nervous system. Piracetam protects the part of the brain called the cerebral cortex against a lack of oxygen. The cerebral cortex is responsible for thoughts and actions and plays a role in movement, reasoning, perception and recognition.
