Rifaxel is used to prevent Hepatic encephalopathy, irritable bowel syndrome and Diarrhoea.
How it Works
Rifaxel is an antibiotic that works to fight bacterial infections. Rifaxel treats only the intestinal tract, it will not treat infections of other parts of the body. This is because Rifaxel passes through the stomach and into the intestines without being absorbed into the blood stream.
