Candesartan
Uses
Candesartan is used FOR the treatment of hypertension ,heart failure, heart attack and diabetic kidney disease.
How it Works
Candesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker. Candesartan is also called an angiotensin-II receptor antagonist, or an AIIRA. Candesartan works by blocking the effect of a chemical called angiotensin II. Angiotensin II causes the blood vessels to narrow, so by blocking its effect, candesartan allows blood vessels to relax and widen. The pressure within blood vessels is reduced and it is easier for the heart to pump blood.
