Celebrex

Celebrex is used in the treatment of painful rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Celebrex is known as a painkiller with anti-inflammatory effects, Celebrex is also called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or also known as a NSAID. Celebrex works to ease pain and reduce inflammation. Celebrex does this by blocking an enzyme in the body called cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2). COX-2 is involved in the production of irritant substances in the body in response to disease. By blocking the action of COX-2, celecoxib reduces the symptoms of pain and inflammation in arthritis and provides relieve. 

Patients who take Celebrex may suffer from such side effects;

Abdominal pain,
Palpitations,
Nausea,
Vomiting,
Edema,
Dyspepsia,
Flatulence,
Increased blood pressure,
Dizziness,
Headache,
Gastritis,
Heartburn,
Constipation,
Diarrhoea

Consult with doctor before taking celecoxib if you are suffering with any kind of heart disease.High risk of heart attack, heart failure, or stroke is observed when celecoxib is taken in high doses. It is advisble to not take celecoxib if you have or have recently had a coronary artery bypass , heart surgery, experienced stomach bleeding or have a history of stomach ulcers .

Overdose of Celebrex can cause tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, GI bleeding, and abdominal pain.
A large overdose can cause kidney failure, high blood pressure, difficulty breathing, and even cause patients to end up in a coma.

Storage is advisable at room temperature and keep celecoxib away from light. Do not store this medication in moist or damp areas, such as bathrooms.
