Prodep, Fluoxetine

Fluoxetine is used in the treatment and prevention of depression, anxiety disorder, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorders and the symptoms they may cause.

Fluoxetine is known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) antidepressant. Fluoxetine works by increasing the levels of serotonin, which is a chemical messenger in the brain. This then works to improve mood and physical symptoms in depression and relieves symptoms of panic and obsessive disorders.
